Miu Japanese Cuisine - Port Coquitlam

I recently found a fantastic new sushi restaurant in my area! The atmosphere was clean and beautifully decorated. I sampled various types of sushi, and everything was incredibly fresh and tasty. The portion sizes were generous, and the prices were very reasonable. I highly recommend checking it out!

The sushi was delicious, and the staff was very friendly! The rolls were appropriately sized for the price, providing excellent value, and the quality of the sushi was quite good. Overall, it's a fantastic addition to the Poco area! Just be aware that parking can be limited.

Terrible Sushi. I had been looking forward to ordering from this place for quite a while. The roll in the picture was $18, and I was expecting a specialty roll. Instead, it resembled a cucumber roll with just a few scallops and a heap of crispy bits on top. The Brussels sprouts were also disappointing—$10 for just six halves. The cauliflower tempura was poorly prepared; it was thinly battered and soggy. Save your money and go to Sushiway instead; their special rolls are definitely worth it.

The staff is friendly and the service is outstanding! My family visits this restaurant frequently, and we’ve loved trying the different special rolls they offer. It’s a very family-friendly spot—Asahi Sushi even provides children's cutlery that my little toddler enjoys using. Plus, the food arrives quickly!

We ordered two lunch boxes—one sashimi and one dynamite—and a salmon combo for two adults and our nine-year-old. The portion sizes were impressive and even more so when you factor in the prices. Everything tasted incredibly fresh and was expertly prepared. What really stood out was the service. The servers were exceptional: friendly, polite, and very attentive without making us feel rushed. To top it all off, there's a charming coffee machine by the exit where guests can grab a complimentary coffee on their way out! This has definitely become a new favorite for us whenever we're in the area!
