Bidrage med feedbackOur American hosts, who are Canadian camp renters and frequent patrons of Lucy's, brought us to this restaurant for dinner. They mentioned that their friends from Buffalo had recommended this as the best place to eat.
During the summer, we visited the restaurant with friends for a special occasion. No matter what you choose to order, the food never fails to impress with its amazing taste.
This is a small cafe in the front of Lucy's house. Its kind of charming, but in the winter it can be cold and is somewhat cramped. The food is good but not great. To use the washroom one has to exit the restaurant and walk outdoors and enter again out back. We've been several times but not sure we will return. The prices are very reasonable.
Worst meal ever, anywhere. Lucy's used to be a delightful, quirky little place with delicious homemade Italian fare. On the evening we were there, even walking in the door, we were tempted to leave before we even sat down because of the strong odour of cigarettes. There was a very yappy dog barking throughout the whole meal. Two very young cooks were in the kitchen, and didn't even know if they could bring bread with no butter in the bread basket. Caesar salad was thick with bright yellow dressing and all four of our dinners were lukewarm and very unappetizing to look at. We all left most of our meals untouched, and should have shared our concerns, but the young cooks were not the ones we wished to speak to. Veal marsala was literally swimming in water. Maybe defrosted? The veal parmesan was so hard and tough, it was inedible. Will never return, and were embarrassed that we took two out of town guests with us.
Restaurant is tiny but cozy. Friendly staff including owner. Food was good but nothing special, Portions were modest. Will not return.
