Bidrage med feedbackFor my birthday, my family and I randomly chose this restaurant, and we were truly impressed by both the food and the service. I ordered the Japanese nachos (they were fantastic), seafood ramen, house fried rice, and a sushi roll. Everything was delicious! The best part was that with our bill, they treated us to complimentary ice cream bars, which the kids absolutely loved. We will definitely be coming back!
My favorite sushi roll so far has been the Nezuko roll, named after a character from the popular anime series Demon Slayer. My second favorite is the Lobster Tempura Roll. I’ve also tried the Dragon 2, Temptation, and Pink Pink rolls, and my preference is in that order. The rolls are quite large (especially the Nezuko and Lobster Tempura) and somewhat pricey. The rice is flavorful and well-cooked, the ingredients are fresh, and the presentation is beautiful. The crispy texture of the rice and seaweed holds up well during eating. I typically don't feel full after sushi, but these rolls filled me up noticeably. I also sampled the Shoyu Ramen, which was just okay. The high-quality eggs were noticeable in the vibrant color of the yolk and the taste, but they were cooked longer than I prefer (I like them jammy and soft). The broth, noodles, meat, and vegetables were satisfactory. The Sushi Sashimi Bento Box offers great value, especially if you want to try more traditional sushi that can often be quite expensive. It includes the chef's choice of sushi, sashimi, California rolls, and gyoza. I had nigiri as the chef's choice, and it was delicious; the fish was tender, and the rice was perfectly seasoned. The sashimi was okay, although I found the larger cuts chewier and less enjoyable compared to the nigiri. The California rolls were great, and the gyoza was tasty, though I wish it came with a better dipping sauce. Kenzo is a cozy little restaurant filled with traditional Japanese decor, screens, prints, anime merchandise, and K-pop albums (like BTS and NCT). While the overall aesthetic may not be perfect, it definitely has its own charm and character. They often offer free ice and sometimes drinks like Yakult or Vitamin C! As a side note, I’ve seen some reviews mentioning issues with customer service. Kenzo is a small, family-owned restaurant, and cultural differences can impact service styles. Here, the service is straightforward and direct, which might put some people off, but I would advise not to take it personally.
I absolutely adore this place! The food is outstanding, and the atmosphere is fantastic. My favorite dish is the Grand Canyon roll.
I had a great experience with the Eel Avocado roll and the Tempura California Roll, particularly with the value offered by the lunch special. The Unagi Bowl was flavorful, though I would have appreciated it if the eel had been grilled or charred a bit more; the small pieces of bamboo were a nice addition. However, I felt the price for this dish was somewhat steep. The service was outstanding, with our water continuously refilled and the staff checking on us several times. Overall, it's a delightful place for sushi.
"Somewhere offers delicious food and quick, complimentary service. The staff is well-informed and up-to-date on the menu. Overall, it’s an excellent experience, but I do think it's a bit on the pricey side for my liking."
