The room was clean and front desk staff nice but someone, i believe it was a cleaner, came into our room before 9 a.m. Perhaps they knocked, but we didn't hear them, just the door open and someone say hello scared the living daylights out of me! I've never had this happen, especially at a supposed 4 star hotel no thank you!
Great customer service but the rooms need updating. Our toilet made loud sound after each flush. Rugs need shampoo and curtains need cleaning. Not like other Westins we've stayed at.
The facilities are decent and staff is nice but this property is not easily walkable to anywhere. The restaurant is pretty terrible. They close the club lounge on weekends and give status holders a voucher for an inedible continental breakfast. Staff gives ambiguous information about what's included and not. The operator of this property is like most Marriott operators just taking maximum advantage of the brand to squeeze returns at the expense of Marriott customers. This is a perfect example of the cynical decline of Marriott into a mediocre product that deceives and confuses customers to keep them off balance while extracting a few extra bucks at the expense of goodwill. My experience at this property really underscores the increasing uselessness of brand loyalty that seems to characterize the current Marriott corporate ethic. Arrive with zero expectations and your stay should be fine. Arrive with status and even modest expectations and you will wish you'd stayed elsewhere.
Avery is the GOAT and kept things Shmoovin. Angel was professional and Westley is super friendly! Oddly enough both of them ended up grabbing Avery at different times during our stay. Convinced he lives behind the reception desk. Also the lady at the Starbucks both mornings was super friendly as well and the lady on the phone friday night: I like your vibes!Bad start though There was a long line of other people and us waiting on Friday and there was a third person at reception and he bolted away from the line of people like his life depended on it. The Angel+Avery team got us fixed up though and answered our questions with some great recommendations later on with a Westley assist!Go into Princeton township, not the forrestall village if you stay here! It's nice and close but not TOO CLOSE so it's still pretty quiet. Kind of better that way!The staff make the difference in how our experience was and to say it went from 0/10 to 10/10 quickly is an understatement! Get people who don't bail when the going gets tough.Rooms: The rooms are tiny and sort of barebones. The rooms suffice but aren't amazing. Had some issues with our air conditioner in one room. Also this hotel isn't in Princeton twp. but instead, the forrestall village which is NOT walking distance to the twp.Nearby activities: There arent any if you're lazy like usWalkability: NOT worth walking around the forrestal village unless youre wanting to go on a stroll. It was too hot for that though. Really just a few schools and a food court in the area. Toe path to princeton twp is WAY TOO LONG and not realistic unless you're athletic.
