Bidrage med feedbackChandler's is consistently one of the best dining spots in Petoskey. The chef has a great understanding of flavors and always achieves the right balance. The dishes are presented simply, without any unnecessary flair. While there could be more creativity in the menu, the combinations of ingredients are usually spot on and well-prepared. The atmosphere strikes a balance between fine dining and a sports bar. The staff is outstanding; we have always had attentive and friendly servers, and the timing of food delivery is prompt but not pushy. On my last visit, I ordered the duck breast, which was served on a bed of mixed grains and vegetables that had a pleasing texture, enhanced by a delicious red wine reduction sauce. Most importantly, I requested it cooked medium rare, which is often overcooked, but the kitchen nailed it!
This is a fantastic spot for a delightful dinner. The service and food are of high quality. It's a cozy restaurant, so reservations are recommended, although not mandatory. The chicken tacos were the highlight for us, but everything we tried was delicious!
The beef tip tacos were featured as a lunch special, but our favorite was definitely their take on a Reuben. It was a tall sandwich, perfectly assembled so that nothing fell out while we were eating or cutting it into quarters. The dipping sauce that comes with it is fantastic! We also tried the bourbon bath martini, which was outstanding. Don’t forget to check out their wine cellar and general store next door – it’s such a cool spot!
Unique lunch menu the southern chicken sandwich had great flavor but there was so much sauce on it the bread got soggy. Visiting Petoskey from the U.P. for the day, we came for a quick lunch with our 3 year old. Although they did not offer a kid'smenu, they accommodated making him a grilled cheese sandwich and chocolate milk to drink. Small dining area and busy duringlunch. Would like to come back for drinks another time as they had a nice selection of wines.
I will start by saying you definitely should put in a reservation as it is a smaller place. It's tucked in what seems to be an alley with old wooden decor. But don't let that fool you as the food is absolutely amazing. We ordered the red wine braisedColorado lamb shank and halibut. Both dishes were delicious. Definitely one of the best lamb shanks I've had. Paul was a greattaking care of us and knew both the food menu and the wine list very well.
