The Admiral Wells - Peterborough

We all ordered a variety of dishes from the menu: two roasts (one lamb and one beef), a homemade-looking pie, a New York chicken, liver and bacon, and scampi. Each dish was beautifully presented and served on hot plates. My meal tasted just as delicious as it looked. We decided against taking photos because we were more focused on catching up and enjoying our food—perhaps it's an age thing! Everyone in our group seemed equally pleased with their choices. I have dietary restrictions related to milk and soy, and the staff was more than willing to accommodate my needs and check the ingredients for me. The menu also offers vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. Due to the building's age, there are some steps throughout, and there isn't a dedicated accessible toilet. However, one of the stalls in the ladies' room has grab rails and a raised seat. I can't comment on the men's facilities, but my husband mentioned it felt a bit cramped. We did notice several guests using wheeled walkers, including him. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and hope to return next year.

In my opinion the Admiral Wells serves the best food in the Peterborough area. Price per person: £30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Prawn Cocktail, Steak N Chips

Food is a generous size but it's good quality, my beef chilli pot had a lovely kick to it. Service was a little slower than on a weekend but was not an issue staff are polite and helpful Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Chilli Pot, Roast Lamb
