However, the corned beef was a bit chewy for my taste—maybe I'm just used to it being sliced thinner, being from Chicago and all. But I'm looking forward to trying some of the other meats on the menu, and yes, I will definitely be returning!
The nutty mixed salad with lime vinaigrette is absolutely fantastic! It features tender chunks of chicken and feta, paired with cranberries, grapes, strawberries, walnuts, and seeds, all resting on a bed of fresh greens. I could enjoy this salad every single day—it's that good!
As always, the experience was outstandingly pleasing.
The issue isn't with this specific location, but rather with Jason's Deli as a whole. This feedback should have been shared last year when the company decided to remove the chicken chili from the menu, and I still don't understand why. Have you tried their chili and the new turkey chili? They just don't measure up and certainly don't compare to regular chili either. I've never gone into any Jason's Deli and ordered their regular chili or turkey chili a second time... I would much rather have Wendy's chili instead. Can we please bring back the Chicken Chili?
When I opened my food, I realized that my pastrami sandwich was completely devoid of meat! I couldn’t believe it. I had specifically ordered a sandwich with pastrami, lettuce, tomato, and some basic toppings, but they had only included the fixings without the main ingredient. I called the restaurant and spoke with Jason, who identified himself as the manager. When I explained the issue, his first response was to tell me to contact DoorDash, as if it were their fault for the mix-up. I calmly explained that this was clearly a restaurant mistake and not related to the delivery service. He then offered for me to come in either today or tomorrow to get a replacement sandwich. I had to inform him that this was frustrating because I paid for the delivery service to avoid leaving the house in the first place. Now I was being asked to drive to the restaurant to fix their mistake. At no point did Jason acknowledge the inconvenience this caused me or offer a reasonable solution, such as a refund or an apology. Instead, he came off as immature and defensive. It’s disappointing to see this kind of service, especially from someone in a management position. Overall, I hope someone with more experience can help guide him in dealing with customer service effectively.
