Bidrage med feedbackI had a wonderful time during a midweek happy hour at The Curious Pig. Their spicy wings were incredibly tasty. I’m looking forward to going back soon!
I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant, which surprisingly doesn’t have a grill. The hamburgers were excellent, and the fish tacos were simply delicious. The mac and cheese was fantastic too. The staff was really friendly, and they offer outdoor seating as well. I will definitely be coming back!
I was searching for a place to have dinner when I came across this restaurant, where I was greeted by a friendly server. The portions are quite generous. My only suggestion for improvement would be to make the biscuits a little softer.
This restaurant is fantastic, offering a wonderful atmosphere and ample space for private events. The food is exceptional, and our waiter provided excellent recommendations. The drinks complement the high quality of the food perfectly. I particularly enjoy dining outdoors on the grass at the picnic tables.
There were several issues during our visit. While I appreciated our server's friendliness, he seemed overwhelmed and distracted, which affected the service. My wife ordered the brunch burger and specifically asked for the egg to be cooked with a runny yolk. The server replied that they always prepare it that way, but when her meal arrived, the yolk was hard and overcooked. Additionally, although my wife ordered home fries, she was served regular fries instead—soggy and cold—because they had run out of home fries. This substitution wasn’t mentioned when she ordered; they only informed her after bringing the meal, and there were no alternatives offered. I had ordered collard greens, but instead received regular fries as well and had to wait for my collards. It felt like they were trying to cut corners instead of providing us with freshly prepared dishes, even though we arrived right in the middle of lunch service at 12:15 PM. The quality of the food was disappointing—bland, greasy, and heavy on the carbohydrates. The collards I eventually received were drenched in vinegar and so sour that they were nearly inedible. Overall, the experience was reminiscent of a 24/7 diner rather than a proper restaurant. I’ll assume this was just a “typical” Sunday lunch, so I hope midweek dinners are better. Another issue occurred when our server accidentally knocked our son’s fork onto the floor; he simply took it away without providing a replacement. Since we were nearing the end of our meal, we let our son use one of our forks to finish eating. To make matters worse, when we received the bill, we were charged higher prices for two of the three items we ordered compared to what was listed on the menu. After I pointed this out, they corrected it, but it didn’t feel like a simple oversight. Overall, I was extremely disappointed with this experience. It seemed like the kitchen and waitstaff were either too overwhelmed or just not putting in the effort to provide decent service. As a result, we ended up with a subpar meal that I wouldn’t want to experience again. The attempt to charge us more than what was listed on the menu made me feel like the Curious Pig was trying to take advantage of us.
