Great service and really good food. Friendly staff. We will be going back. The smoked old fashion was awesome!

Loved the food, location, background music and service a real hidden gem. Our new favorite spot for excellent reliably great food, near home!

We walked into The Douglas at 730pm on a Friday night, expecting to see a full restaurant, instead it was empty (maybe 5 patrons in total). The host, a teenager, sat us at the first table he saw and handed us two paper menus. It might sound snobby, but when you're paying these prices for food, one would expect a little bit more than paper menus. The waitress greeted us shortly after and was pleasant, she did a fine job. I ordered the spare ribs and my wife had the mussels as her main course. Mussels were fine but he spare ribs were not... the plate was scorching hot and the food had a slight crust to it... I assume this is because they plated it early and put it beneath the warmers. This wasn't the problem as much as the taste and texture, neither were pleasant. Needless to say, I expected a lot more, especially considering the food next door at West Main is half the price (and to be perfectly honest, twice the quality).

We enjoyed the food very much. I appreciated that the sides were included in the price of the entree. The pork chop is hugh and delicious. We also had great service. Our server was very knowledgeable able various cocktail options.

We didn't partake but a whiskey rep was passing out free shots. Service left a bit to be desired, had to ask a hostess for our check because we were left hanging by our waitress. Selection was slim, and presented on xeroxed paper menus. For a handful of $40-$50 plates, you would expect more. I went with the $34 short rib which was cooked well. Tender and juicy despite being prepared low and slow.. Wife had the salmon, it was decent. Avocado Bruschetta appetizer was the highlight for both of us. Ambiance wasn't really the best. This is more of a sit at the bar place masquerading as an upscale restaurant.
