Bidrage med feedbackDelightful place with excellent food. Great place to have escargot and French onion soup. The risotto was also one of the best my wife has had in Paris. Nice friendly service with menus in English. On my five star recommended list!
Completely different from many restaurants in Paris. Young, vibrant and cool people in the place. Very good food w/out loosing the French accent.
Excellent service, good food and child friendly. A place to really recommend for a family visiting Paris
We were recommended to this restaurant as somewhere that serves good food at affordable prices and the recommendation proved 100% correct. Recently opened by two very hard working young men, Mathieu and Bruno, La Promenade is a modern interpretation of a traditional Paris bistro. We were so impressed that we chose La Promenade as a subsequent dinner venue for a group of 25 friends with whom we have just spent the weekend in Paris. Mathieu offered us a very affordable three course menu with excellent choices for our diners who all made their selections in advance. Starters comprised an ample and delicious homemade terrine served in a small Kilner style jar, tasty French onion soup and an interpretation of eggs mimosa together with a crisp fresh salad. Main course options included grilled salmon with colourful mixed vegetables and a steak of excellent quality which was judged by all who chose it to be cooked precisely as requested. Desserts included an outstanding apple tart and a creme brulee which, most unusually, came up to the benchmark standard of my wife's own version! Mathieu, Bruno and their helpers managed to serve our entire group swiftly, efficiently and with good humour - not an easy task with a large number of hungry diners - and on a hot night when they also had a large number of other guests eating outside on the promenade! We will definitely return and we wish Mathieu and Bruno all the success they so richly deserve.
We were staying in the Bastille area for 6 days and while we were able to find plenty of cute/tasty cafes and restaurants, this one definitely took the cake. We sat outside with a great view of Promenade Plantée. Since it was our last meal, our aim was to knockout as many French staples as possible. We started off with escargot and French onion soup. The escargot was extremely tender and buttery with an amazing pesto like sauce that was great to dip our bread in. The French onion soup was flavorful and not extremely salty like some of the ones we've had in the past. Next up was our charcuterie board and their special of the day "la pique-nique" which featured a great sausage, some veal and tasty frites and salad. All of which was delicious and they even gave us a nice box for our leftovers since we had to run to catch our train. Of course no french meal is complete without a nice beverage to accompany it. We got a bottle of rosé that came out in an ice bag which was absolutely refreshing on that "hot" (80 degrees F) Parisian day. Last but not least, our server (forgot his name but he's tall with glasses) was extremely helpful and attentive. 10/10 would recommend this restaurant to anybody visiting what was our favorite neighborhood in Paris.
