Bidrage med feedbackOut of the thousands of restaurants we could eat in in Paris, we stummbled into here after leaveing (without being fed because of the rude staff) La Cantine Du Troquet (the hype's isn't worth the vile waiting staff). Les Tontons is a little gem was...so good, that on a weekend break, we ate here twice out of the three nights. Loved it.
We're lucky enough to have this place just up the road from our rental apartment, so we've been in a few times, but we only ate there for the first time a couple of days ago. It's fantastic value with a huge selection of steak...tartares and delicious desserts. We had a tartare each with a lovely bottle of rosé and easily the best creme brûlée and tiramisu I've had, all for It's full of locals with a friendly atmosphere and thoughtful, helpful staff. If you're looking for a great value place to eat with delicious food and that traditional Paris vibe, I couldn't recommend it more highly.
The coffee here is one of the best on the street. Staff are friendly and helpful. Reasonable drinks selection. Fair prices. The restaurant side of the cafe specialises in tartare in its numerous variations and did a steady trade, with the restaurant sometimes full. Another...local experience not to be missed. Very enjoyable.
This is our second visit to Les Tontons. We could not wait to go back for the traditional Southwestern French food. This time I ordered my favourite dish, confit de canard, and my bf had his favourite, steak tartare. The food and atmosphere were still...as good as they were before. Definitely going there again.
A wide selection of tartares, some of them lightly grilled. the idea is good but the tartares are not excellent, juzt good. We found the cost too high for what it is. the resukt is an expensive dinner that is generous but average.
