Piment Rouge - Pamplemousses

We were a group of six people who called ahead to reserve a table and arrived within 20 minutes. The food took a little while to prepare, but it was delicious. All of us enjoyed our meals. Just be aware that the menu is only in French, so we had to use Google Translate quite a bit. The waiter was helpful in helping us navigate the menu. There is a great parking lot nearby and the restaurant wasn't crowded, with mostly local patrons. We recommend trying the magic bowl with chicken, deep fried peppers stuffed with fish (as a starter), and the mixed salad with large, tasty cucumbers. The chicken dish was also very good.

Worst service in Mauritius. We waited over 40 minutes just to realise that they haven't even started making our order.

The food is delicious with a wide variety of options available. The prices are great too.

The service was extremely slow and the French onion soup had no flavor. I will not be returning to this restaurant and do not recommend it at all.

Food was good, however had to wait a long time to be served.
