Rancho 86 Restaurant Bar - Palo Verde

It's lost there...at first it reminds you a little of From Dusk till Dawn...but it's clean, the owner is very nice and sweet and the food, unexpectedly, very good. We had chicken quesadilla and a BBQ cheeseburger and two Budweisers. Furthermore, incredibly cheap at $18 per person and they were very decent portions! So if you appreciate good Mexican cuisine, a friendly host and reasonable prices and are frugal when it comes to ambience, this is the place for you!

We were off-roading for Tierra Del Sol and needed real food. Not many options in Salton but luckily we turned off the highway to find Rancho 86z. We had a wonderful experience here. The steak was great and it was a great vibe with Mexican soccer on TV. Very kid friendly.

I love this little restaurant. The food is always great! It should definitely get more action then it does! The man that works inside is always so polite gets you exactly what you order! He's extremely fast! The prices aren't bad either! There's a pool table! Love it! Also this place is kid friendly it can easily accommodate a big group of people! Kid-friendliness: Definitely a kid friendly place! Parking: Right in front of the place there's a good amount of open space for parking on the side directly across the street there's a bunch more open space!

This place is right off the hwy and easy to get to although the name is not visible anywhere on the building. The food was good. The pizza was the best pizza ever, so cheesy, and well put together according to my kids. The service was pretty fast despite there only being one person there. Only thing we would have liked is for the nachos to have came with all the normal toppings for a Mexican eatery... beans, shredded cheese tomatoes onions guac... u know the food stuff but it was just carne asada and nacho cheese.
