Bidrage med feedbackA terrific dinner experience with an excellent wine pairing. We celebrated our anniversary and everything was perfect. We started with an appetizer of the White Asparagus that is served with a poached egg and Hollandaise sauce. For the main course I had the WAGYU TRIO (JAPAN, AUSTRALIA, USA) which comes with a trio of salts and a trio of sauces. It was cooked to perfection and is a fantastic meal. We had a side of Brussel Sprouts with bacon for a fantastic pairing. The beautiful steaks were paired with a lovely Spanish Grenache suggested by Max, the very knowledgable Sommelier. It paired perfectly with the meats. Dessert was Soufflés, one Grand Mariner and one Raspberry along with decaf Cappuccino. The Sea never disappoints and this meal was no exception. The service is attentive and you are never left wanting for anything. This is for certain our favorite South Bay restaurant.
The service was amazing — very attentive, and everyone was kind and helpful, even if they were not our official server. We got the tasting menu, and while the amuse bouche, breads, and abalone were great, the mains were too salty. The wild salmon would have been better by itself, instead of in the sauce, that was top strong and overpowering/distractingly sweet/salty/rich. I ended up rescuing it out of the dish so I could eat it with less sauce. The beef was good, but the morels felt over-salted. Overall, I enjoyed the experience but would say the service was the best part, with the food secondary. Our server, Jhonathan, was so kind and let my mom have the souffle instead of the standard dessert because she couldn't decide between the souffle or the tasting menu.
Service was excellent but the dishes weren't up to par for this price range. Their signature dish lobster rocks, not good. The lobster was tough and under seasoned. This place was much better years ago, I'm not going back. Chef rj
Great food, really love their fillet mignon. Excellent service as well
Who are all the people in giving this place five stars? I guess they have deep pockets and small appetites. I came here for a work event because otherwise I would have walked out of the restaurant the moment I opened the menu. $65 average for an entree and the portions are ridiculously small. I felt terrible about ordering an entree even for a work event, so I just ordered a Caesar salad. I could have ripped apart ahead of iceberg lettuce from Safeway and made my own dressing for a fraction of the cost. They are incredibly pretentious and overcharging for decent food and small portions. Just know what you're getting into.
