Bidrage med feedbackThe Villa appears to update its menu quite often. Currently, it offers a selection that strays from traditional Italian-American dishes. The focus is more on seafood, duck, and lamb, catering to a more sophisticated clientele. I tried the lamb couscous, and it was fantastic. My wife, however, was less impressed with the menu as she missed classic Italian favorites like Alfredo and Carbonara. I still can’t believe she managed to get through her time in Italy! She also pointed out that with the current offerings, the restaurant might not even be considered Italian anymore. On a positive note, the tomato basil bisque soup is exceptional, and the feta dressing is delicious.
Outstanding cuisine and impressive service! The jazz music adds a wonderful ambiance to the dining experience. This hidden treasure of a restaurant is nestled in the charming town of Palmer Lake, located in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. The area is delightful, featuring quaint shops and plenty of activities to explore. Just a quick 15-minute drive north of Colorado Springs, you absolutely must try the menu here. Chris and Kerri Bohler bring years of expertise in the restaurant industry. Don’t forget to add this place to your must-visit list!
"It seems that your attempt to include a 20% tip on the bill backfired. Karma has a way of evening things out, and now you've found yourself out of business."
We dined at The Villa in Palmer Lake last night and enjoyed it so much that we returned for brunch! If you’re seeking a delightful experience for yourself, your family, or friends, this is the perfect spot. The French toast and biscuits and gravy are outstanding! Just a heads up, the brunch menu is available only on Sundays from 9 AM to 2 PM. I’ve also had lunch and dinner here during the week, and it has always been a wonderful experience.
At this point, my boyfriend and I were confused because no one had even taken our drink orders. We ended up waiting for 35 minutes without any service, which caused me to lose my appetite after filling up on water and bread, despite being ready to spend over $80 on a nice meal. The restaurant wasn’t even close to being full, so there was really no excuse for the lack of service. Meanwhile, other tables around us were being served promptly by the two other waitstaff. A couple who arrived for their 7:30 reservation was seated and had their drink orders taken immediately. Frustrated by the poor attention while others were receiving great service, we decided to leave without paying for the bread and water. I almost left a scathing note on the table. Essentially, my boyfriend and I felt denied service. I can’t help but wonder if this was related to the fact that we are both Asian and in college while every other group being served was older and white. Coincidence? Perhaps, but I have no plans to return to this restaurant. My money will go elsewhere, to waitstaff who truly deserve their tips. Instead, we opted for sushi, and the service there was outstanding!
