I had a very disappointing experience with the service. I traveled for 20 minutes to get there, arriving at 2:00 PM, only to be told they were closed. Meanwhile, I noticed they were still serving other customers.

Lack of customer service is a key reason why many restaurants are closing their doors.

I ordered the test plate, and the food was good—no complaints there. However, the customer service was terrible. The young woman at the checkout was contradictory. I was charged for a large refill, despite the sign being clearly displayed. Additionally, she didn't give me my receipt, even after I mentioned the sign to her. Is it not complimentary? She simply brushed me off. Maybe she wasn’t aware of the policy, but if you're working there, you should know the rules. It feels deceptive!

I am a huge fan of Hot Dog on a Stick! I really wish they would open a location in Joshua Tree, especially with a drive-thru option, as it would save me from having to go inside the mall to enjoy it.
