Food was good, but could use more spices. Atmosphere on patio was nice.
Made reservation online only to arrive at a closed restaurant. No sign out front stating any reason, no outward indication as to why. Called the restaurant twice, phone rang until disconnected, no answering machine or message. Messaged them on Facebook, got this response: We are so sorry! We had signs up for a week and postings on social media about our being closed this week until Friday, but I see you made this reservation on Open Table, which obviously allowed the reservation to go through without someone here realizing it since we weren 't here to get the notification.
Our family has made reservations that were almost twice as large as the original reservation and la cantina made an amazing work to receive with us. the eating tastes fresh and the server informed us that the bark originates locally from a farm not far from the restaurant. service, eating and the experience in the interior of a covered terrace surpassed our expectations. we will definitely return!
My children and I ate here after the church on Sunday. shows the absolutely worst restaurant experience I ever had in opelika. the service was terrible. our food was cold, and I literally had to ask to warm it twice. who wants cold cheese and burritos? there were perhaps ten other people, and we had to wait almost 20 minutes to sit despite a reservation. we'll never be back.
