Abbays - Olive Branch

We are working in this area for the week and thought it was time to try this establishment. I know there is one near our house and I have never tried it. I was pleased to find out there was no meat in the veggies. I will just get the veggie plate next time for the fish which is the only meat I eat is not the best quality of fish. I thought the spicy broccoli was pretty darn delicious. I will say the staff was friendly and the place was clean. I most likely will eat here againat some point before I go back to St.petersburg Florida.

Green beans, black-eyed peas, mashed potatoes, chicken and dumplings, sweet tea, and cornbread are delicious. Meatloaf tastes like pasty dough and beans or something. I didn't taste beef. Meatloaf is dry with no taste of onions, bell peppers, or celery. Sauce on top is on the mild, spicy side. I'll never order meatloaf in the future. I will perhaps order another meal if not very hungry. I did some heavy closet cleaning, along with other household chores and had a goodappetite. Vegetable portions are small. I'd say about 3/4 of a 4 oz to 6 oz styrofoam cup. Counter top was wet and sticky from beverage area. Service was very friendly and pleasant. It's a good place to go when you need a HEALTHY meal withvegetables, especially as an affordable fast food on the way home too tired to cook after a long day.

I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. The customer service was lacking, and the food quality has declined. The dish I ordered was dry and lacked any sauce or flavor—just unappetizing! Who is responsible for this place? It’s off-putting. It seemed like there were just a bunch of young teenagers having fun while cooking for adults. I wouldn't be surprised if they don't even clean their rooms at home!

Yesterday, the baked chicken was overly salty and tough, making it inedible for me. Additionally, the turnip greens were only lukewarm. I typically enjoy Abby's food, but during my recent visits, the meals have often been served just barely warm, and the Lima beans were dried out. Given the high prices, more attention should be paid to food preparation.

My mom ordered the fish sandwich, which consisted of a fillet served on a slice of wheat bread. The sandwich was wrapped so tightly, it resembled a hot dog, and the sauce caused the bread to become soggy. As for the broccoli casserole, it was mostly rice and cheese with just a few pieces of broccoli, and neither dish was served hot. This is a restaurant, not a backyard fish fry—please, use a proper bun!
