Paleterias Tropicana - Olathe

I absolutely adore this restaurant! My favorites are the Cotijos, mango ice cream, and rum raisin ice cream. The staff is incredibly helpful, especially towards this white Nana!

I had lunch there today and tried the empanadas and elotes. They were really delicious! I didn't have dessert, but everything looked amazing. I'll definitely try it next time!

Having lived in the Dominican Republic for five years, I can confidently say that this restaurant is one of the closest things to an authentic Latin American dining experience I've encountered. Everything, from the tables and chairs to the menu options, reflects genuine Latin American culture. My wife and I ordered licuados, which are essentially smoothies made with real fruit. I opted for banana, while she chose mango.
