La Familia Callejas Market - Oceanside

I was raised in Chicago on weekends with Menudo, Carnitas and Barbacoa, but I hardly have it anymore. Today I ate Menudo. This is a very simply decorated, loud music playing restaurant, but that is not why it gets 5 stars. I took my queen Birria and Menudo to eat it at home. I'm glad I did it because I needed many napkins BUT OMG. That was my first time I tried this food from here. I definitely go back and try the Borrego Barbacoa next time. The counter staff was attentive and helpful. You don't have to go to the border for good food!

You have the best double Michelada I've ever seen or had. It was delicious! The food was also very delicious. I'll be back for them.

Your Mexican food is excellent authentic as you eat the best food in Mexico include their best Jumbo drinks. This restaurant can best be in San Diego County. Every Friday and Saturday many Mexican families flock into this restaurant. The waiters, waiters and cook do not speak English so well, but they are good people. Warning: They cook your meal like 20 to 30 minutes, but you will love their food. Valuable. The girls love karaoke there.

AUTHENTIC BOMB TACO SHOP with an ACTUAL DJ in the HOUSE?! Si, por favor! The DJ started the karaoke night singing a few songs, making it such a fun atmosphere. This place has a lot of food, large portions and reasonable prices. The chicken tacos are our personal favorites. Homemade and unlimited chips and salsa You can't go wrong with that. Don't forget to try the mango Michaelada! I can't wait to get back to breakfast Burritos or for a late night taco run. 10/10 would recommend.

Didn't even realize it was a restaurant, went looking for a meat market but found it instead...ordered the 3 rolled tacos...man they were great...will come back for more items to try ... I will take better pictures next time...
