This place checks all the boxes! We will be back without a doubt. -The best mixed drinks since we moved to Oak Park! HIGHLY suggest the Frank's Mint Tea. -Kettle String Burger was delicious! And it is totally worth upgrading to the truffle fries. -Theservice was fast, friendly, and helpful!

Was there on 10/1, and everything was wonderful! The staff was great, food was so good, and reasonably priced!

Ate here with a friend recently. Sat at the bar. Service was decent. Forgot a few requests, but friendly. Food was NOT good. I've had better meals here. But, I hope they pay more attention to the kitchen. 1. Had the salmon burger. It was canned salmon, with other stuff, rolled into a ball and deep fried. Super disappointing, particularly at $16. Fries were soggy. 2. Pint of beer was not served to the top of the glass. Call me fussy or cheap, but no good pour should have an inch left in the glass. 3. Donuts for dessert: Very tasty. But, undercooked raw dough in the middle. I was with a friend and didn't complain like I might otherwise. Still tipped 20%. (BTW: I think complaining is the biggest favor you can do for a restaurant. It lets them know what's happening and make corrections to become a better place. Overall, I like this place, the staff and the vibe. But it should have been better that evening. And don't serve salmon unless it's a real piece of fish, please.

Nice corner tavern with in door and out door patio seating.Patio is dog friendly, where you can bring your dog. Bring mosquito spray if you do choose to sit out and enjoy the fresh air. There are so many bushes that hoard the annoying flying pest.I've eaten here several times and will say the food is good. I tried the shrimp and chorizo dip. It's a big bowl of water grease. There was hardly no chorizo and only 4 pieces of shrimp. It's not worth the price.Speaking of prices, I tried their creation of a margarita. For 12.00, you get a 4oz glass of a sip of the drink. They are overpriced for cocktail mix drinks. Save your money and buy a beer!So far, the pattie melt, fish and chips, and the wings have not been a disappointment.Vegetarian options: Salads are in the menu, and you can eat gluten freeKid-friendliness: Kids are welcome

Most restaurants are closed on Mondays in Oak Park, so if you are hungry and in the mood for some beers and good food, stop by kettlestrings Tavern. They have a nice selection of beer bottle amc draft.You can have some cocktails but not worth the money.They serve small glasses and not worth the 12.00 price for their version of margaritas. We were highly disappointed ?Food is good and is not a top-shelf kind of food but decent.I've had their fish and chips, wings, pattie melt, and grilled chicken sandwich.I would recommend all of these.I would skip their chorizo and shrip bowl dip. More grease than meat. They're was only 4 peices of small shrimp and hardly no chorizo. The bowl was filled with watery grease. I still ate it cause I was starving. I'm not sure if it was good because I was hangry or if it is worth paying for the bowl of grease.
