Karl August A Neighborhood - Nuernberg

This was the second stay for us at Karl August and we are extremely thrilled again. The service is very courteous and the rooms are beautifully designed. The spa area is also really impressive : Another highlight is the breakfast with regional products. The fact that our four-legged friend is so welcome also makes us very happy. We'll definitely come back

If you are looking for a hotel in a perfect location in Nuremberg that offers great service and a unique ambience, the Hotel Karl August is the best choice. We are absolutely thrilled! Particularly noteworthy, in addition to the friendly and attentive staff, are the stylishly furnished rooms and the spa area with a breathtaking view over Nuremberg. The parking garage also deserves 5 stars! This hotel is definitely worth recommending – we would love to come back!

The Karl August is centrally located in the Augustinerhof not far from the main market. All important sights are within walking distance. Our room superior) was ok, you have to get used to the concrete look design. Everything seems very puristic and clear, so we couldn't figure out why the TV was hidden in a wall cabinet. This doesn't fit with the clear lines and makes it difficult to have an unobstructed view due to the side folding doors. The glass bathroom is a bit impractical, especially if someone needs to go to the toilet at night. Then the other person is already disturbed by the light. The breakfast is very expensive €28) and is served on a cake stand. We would have preferred a buffet, as not everyone has the same preferences and there is still quite a lot left over. This is not particularly sustainable and is actually not okay. We had the impression that breakfast wasn't used that much, which is probably due to the price. The SPA area is very nicely designed, unfortunately it was very dark there and therefore difficult to relax with a book. The lighting concept should be reconsidered here. Unfortunately our room wasn't cleaned one day, which was a bit annoying. The staff responded very friendly to our complaint, but nothing more. The staff at the reception and in the bistro were extremely friendly throughout. Overall, you can say that the hotel has a very good location, but the concept needs improvement in some areas.
