Sorrento Restaurant - North Providence

Went here for dad's birthday, we had a great time. Our waiter was great and the food and drinks were delicious. Everyone had a great time!

Always excellent food! Sauce is outstanding. The best veal parm and pasta. Everything prepared fresh to order.

Was there last night with my spouse. My fish was overly cooked, only eat half of it. I mentioned to waitress and she said the manager wouldn't take it of the bill and the manager would not talk to us. Very unprofessional. I had some good experiences there, fish is usually my favorite, perhaps the cook had a bad night. Whatever that happens sometimes but unfortunately won't be going back, I'll have to find another place that will appreciate my money...

Went last weekend. Made a reservation a week prior. We arrived at our reservation time only to be told it would be a 20 25 minute wait. What?? The hostess then explained that she doesn 't know why they take reservations since the establishment doesn 't actually hold the tables. Insane. No manager standing by to apologize to the many guests who got the same news we did. Our first and last visit. I hope management learns the basics of how to operate a restaurant. EDIT: In response to the owner 's reply, I want to be clear that we left upon being told about the wait we did not eat or drink at Sorrento. We went across the street and ate at Wine and Cheese. Also, good idea to never call a customer who left an honest, factual review juvenile anyone considering Sorrento will see your response and say to themselves Hmm, so if I have a bad experience this is how management responds? and then they 'll go elsewhere. Trust me on that.

Delicious and generously-portioned Italian meat sandwich. John, the server, was attentive and warm. Atmosphere and decor were both pleasing and eye-catching. Although I don't live close to Sorrento, I'll return at my earliest opportunity.
