Bidrage med feedbackThis was my first time here and I must say everything like evrything we ordered are amazing. We had a great authentic korean experience. this is different from what I thought korean food like the falous korean bbq. Here I really enjoyed the food. A bit pricey but what cannI say woth the dishes. They are good! Here are some photos taken.
Had a late lunch at Kaya along Jupiter, Bel Air III last March 13. Great Korean Bibimpap lunch along with Coke Light. Very generous serving for its price! The vegetables that went along with it were freshly done. Rice was fluffy yet firm, which gave the dish much more tang. The staff was very helpful; when I requested to have extra spicy peppers to add to my bibimpap, they presented me not just one, but three choices. For those who want the bibimpap extra spicy, try to put in the kimchi which is served as appetizer, and you'll enjoy it : Atmosphere was very hushed and there was ample space to dine in a very relaxed way. Thanks a lot, Kaya, for keeping up with your authentic Korean fare! Highly recommended indeed. You are also welcome to read my tweets about Kaya on Twitter@Noel_Dolor. Posted my reviews last March 13 and were also well received
Kaya is one of my favorite restaurants because of its fairly-priced dishes and clean interiors. I also frequently visit Kaya Express at Glorietta 2 because of their chicken katsu. Sadly, that dish is not offered at Kaya Bel-Air. One of their signature dishes is the ramen in the photo. It's suppossed to be really spicy but we always ask it to be tempered down which the helpful wait personnel is happy to do. The last time we visited, the owner and chef visited our table and asked how we liked our food. I thought that was very nice of him.
When it comes to Korean Food! Always proceed to Kaya as my daughter would always say! Imagine we ordered this much with 4 people?! 2 orders of Kalbi Jim, sizzling spicy squid, japjae, large mackerel, and unlimited side dishes! Spent around 2,500 and that 's already with Soju! we were so lucky that the owner was there. The Manager named Oscar greeted us and over heard him saying... they have been eating here for more that 5-7 years now when their kids were still young he told his Lady Boss... and because they know we 're regular customers they always give us a lot of fruit dessert after our meal! My kids love to eat here! They make sure that we always visit Kaya once a month for our Korean Craze! Who knows.. i might see the Goblin eating here! ambience, people, staff, food parking! Perfect!
Food: One of my fave Korean restaurant in Makati Avenue, Kaya is one of the oldest Korean restaurant which serves authentic Korean cuisine. Staple orders include Yukhoe (they serve clean, sweet, refreshing beef that always tickle my tastebuds), Kalbi Gui A (the beef that has sweet seasoning--you can ask them to cook it in the kitchen or by yourself) and Hameul Pajeon (well this one used to be good, but not a fan anymore). I tried ordering Tukboggi (spicy rice cake) and it made me happy--soft and chewy rice cakes with right amount of spiciness. Yum. Samgyetang has mild, soothing broth that goes well with the tender chicken meat. After each meal, they will give you either sliced oranges or pineapple. Servings: The kalbi includes lettuce for wraps but I am not sure if it is included in other meat orders. Service: I commend the manager for being a hands-on one, however service is on the slow side for the rest of the staff. Location: Spacious, clean, pleasant environment with parking slots. Will I come back again? Yes. I just wished they will bring back their ginger tea.
