Bidrage med feedbackWe visited last night for dinner around 7 PM and were seated right away. Our server offered excellent recommendations for newcomers to Otosan. We tried the blue crab crispy rice, the Blondie roll, salmon sushi, and yellowtail belly (if I remember correctly). My 5-year-old enjoyed the kids' chicken skewers and rice, which he loved. Everything was delicious and arrived as it was prepared. I’m not sure why some people are criticizing the prices; the fish was incredibly fresh and tasty. The pricing seemed fair to me and definitely worth it. We will definitely return!
The sushi was mediocre considering the high price. We ordered dumplings, but the meat tasted sour, and the chicken skewers were undercooked. On a positive note, the server was friendly and offered us a refund.
I used to visit this place frequently, but I decided to get takeout today. Unfortunately, my order was incorrect, and the crispy rice was stale and difficult to chew. Given the long drive, it doesn’t seem worth it to go back. This restaurant isn’t what it used to be.
Well came here just on the whim... definitely was hungry but not necessarily for this place...yet I'm glad that we stopped by. We where seated immediately... they had just opened and it was not busy. We shared two rolls and I got the miso soup. I will stop by again for another quick bite! I will check them out during dinner time to see if their customer service is still on point when it's busy!
Most of my reviews of restaurants are rated at least 4 to 5 stars, so rating this restaurant at a 3 is significant. We decided to visit this restaurant because others have told me they heard, it was good. We visited on a Friday at 6pm and there was no wait. Savannah took our order: garlic edamame, gyoza, miso soup, shishito peppers, Natsu special roll, and Lemon Tree special roll. The garlic edamame was more like eda mame with garlic sauce poured all over as opposed to eda name tossed in actual minced garlic, so this was a disappointment. The gyoza was partially cooked (one side was not cooked) and the red sauce that came with it was not flavorful. The miso soup was very salty, but did have a generous amount of tofu and seaweed. The shishito peppers were yummy! The Natsu special roll was refreshing and flavorful. The Lemon Tree was the one with the most flavor and it was delicious! When it came to paying for our food, I asked Savannah for a box for the shishito peppers and the check. After 15 minutes went by and noticed the restaurant wasn 't busy, I asked another server, Jessica to please give us our check and a to go box because Savannah forgot about us. Early in our visit, Savannah did a good job at checking in with us, but eventually we felt like she forgot about us. The service and food were okay, nothing special, so we won 't be returning. There are other sushi restaurants that offer excellent service and delicious food at reasonable prices.
