Launay's - Newark and Sherwood

The kids' meals were excellent and this restaurant is definitely worth the price. £16 for a 2-course meal of such great quality was unbelievable. We just wish we could dine there more frequently.

The restaurant provided exceptional service from their friendly and pleasant staff. The dishes were expertly prepared and beautifully presented, and we would definitely dine there again.

Visited as a big group on a sunny day. We arrived early but our waitress quickly found us a big table outside to have some drinks whilst table inside was being prepared for lunch. Good selection of food with something for everyone gluten free, dairy free, meat eaters, vegetarians and pescatarian. All portions served were very generously sized and nicely presented fish and chips, pie and mash, mussels, risotto. Nice atmosphere too. Would definitely visit again if in the area.

We chose The Launay for a family get together and a sunday lunch , i have to say we made a excellent choice . The food was a set menu but very very good. The choice was good , presentation was tremendous , attention to detail . All the staff were very attentive and made us feel really welcome . Inside was set out beautiful , decorated to a high standard , only downside it was a little cramped .But we would deffinatly return .

Excellent food, service and surroundings, just love this restuarant. We go there for special occasions and haven't ever been disappointed.
