Bidrage med feedbackI initially went through the Drive-Thru and waited for 10 minutes without anyone attending to me, so I decided to go inside. It was clear the cashier didn’t want to be there; she was sitting at the counter on her phone and rolled her eyes when I walked in. I placed my order, but she didn’t ask me if I wanted it to-go or to dine in, so she handed me a to-go box. I chose to sit at a table to eat. While I was there, she returned to her spot and started watching videos on her phone at full volume. After finishing my meal, I tried to find a place for my trash, but there wasn’t any available, so I ended up leaving it on the table.
The brisket and BBQ were decent, but they forgot to send any sauce with it. There were some issues: the potatoes had a gritty texture and tasted like they were cooked in bad oil—I took a bite and spat it out. They were almost translucent, with no butter or milk added. The single piece of BBQ bread was hard and had an odd flavor. The macaroni and cheese was standard and nothing noteworthy. On the positive side, the banana pudding was really good. Overall, nothing was impressive enough for me to want to return. I gave it 2 stars mainly because the meat was at least edible.
We tried a variety of meats including pork, beef brisket, sausage, spare ribs, and smoked chicken. This charming little hole-in-the-wall restaurant offers some of the best food around. We also enjoyed their fried cornbread, which came with an impressive selection of sides. If we lived in the area, we would definitely return. P.S. The service was outstanding!
We placed a catering order and I ordered two of the BAR-B-Q picnic packs, which are advertised as serving 10 to 12 people each. Unfortunately, this barely fed 12 people, despite being intended for 24. To make matters worse, they forgot the BBQ sauce. While I understand we should have double-checked, the restaurant is still responsible for their oversight. I attempted to call and discuss these issues, but was left on hold for over 20 minutes without anyone answering. I am extremely disappointed with this location and the overall experience. I sincerely hope that improvements are made to prevent others from experiencing similar catering problems. As a consumer, it shouldn't be this difficult to reach a company when they fail to deliver the quantity and quality that was promised and paid for.
I'm not sure how they prepare their smoked brisket, but what I received was dry and lacking in flavor. The corn was good, and the fries were just average. For $20, I only got two pieces of brisket, so I think I’ll skip this place in the future.
