Sangria's - Nanuet

If you're uncertain about what to order, I recommend going for an entrée if you love a hearty dish covered in cheese and sauce; it will certainly fill you up. Personally, I like starting with appetizers since they are also served in generous portions. If you come across the octopus appetizer special, do not hesitate to get it. It features a superb amount of tender octopus at a great price, and I only wish it were a regular item on the menu. The mussels diablo are another excellent choice—they come in a large bowl with a spicy red sauce (probably made with that hot sauce we mentioned), and it includes a side of garlic bread that’s hard to beat. The ceviche is flavorful and packed with calamari and shrimp, although it does have imitation crab, which is a little odd. Nonetheless, we still enjoy it as it is. I do wish they would introduce a ceviche option made with real fish chunks to the menu. The mixed platter of hot appetizers is also a fun choice for sharing. On a different note, the restaurant has recently started charging a credit card fee, which isn't ideal. On the bright side, they do offer coupons in the Valpak, so be sure to watch for those! You can even print them if you find them online. I find this somewhat puzzling from a business standpoint—why impose a credit card fee while simultaneously offering a $10 discount on a $50 purchase? It does seem contradictory. As for the service, it can be a bit inconsistent. The atmosphere is quite casual, with staff members moving around without a clear organization. Sometimes, I have a hard time figuring out who my server is, which can make things feel a little chaotic. Nevertheless, we enjoy dining here and consistently leave feeling satisfied.

The food was incredible! The $5.99 margaritas are a fantastic deal and definitely a must-try. I will definitely be returning!

The food was excellent, and my waitress was incredibly professional and helpful throughout my visit. The portion sizes were generous; it felt like a platter meant for one person. The dining area was spacious and clean. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

For my lunch, I found the prices to be reasonable, averaging around $20 to $30 per person. I would rate the food and service both a perfect 5. The atmosphere was also pleasant, earning a score of 4. I highly recommend trying the Enchiladas Verdes, Fish Tacos, Shrimp Taco, and the Salsa and Chips – they were all fantastic!
