Bidrage med feedbackMy partner and I really wanted to like this place, we even booked a hotel around the corner anticipating we would visit multiple times during our stay in Nagoya, but sadly it didn’t live up to our expectations. Reasons I didn’t love it: Tiny Space; I understand space is at a premium in Japan, especially for something as niche as a vegan restaurant. But this place was more of a bar that they crammed a couple of tables in. We were seated right on the end of the bar near the entry and so we had people walking behind us anytime they came or went. Again, standard for a lot of izakaya in Japan but I was under the impression this place was a “restaurant”. Slow Service; it’s mostly run by the one person so I expected meals to take little longer, but we waited almost 40 minutes for spaghetti and there was only one other couple in the restaurant at the time. Expensive; As another reviewer mentioned, there is a table charge of ¥400 and a one drink/person minimum (not uncommon in Japan). Drinks were about ¥500 for a soft drink/juice and ¥600 for an alcoholic beverage, from memory. That means you could be close to ¥2000 for two people before you order any food. So unless you were planning on getting a drink anyway, it can add up quickly. Small Portions/Quality; I don’t mind paying more than average if the food is better than average or at least filling, but the pizza was smaller than average and tasted pretty average (good they had vegan cheese though, the other places we found in Japan that do vegan pizza is without cheese at all). The chargrilled “chicken” was actually pretty delicious, (although half was faux meat the other half was mushrooms) but just a small portion given the price. We didn’t order the burrito, but we saw someone else eating one and it looked quite small too. After the pizza and sides we also ended up ordering the mince sauce spaghetti because we still weren’t full. It was a large serve but disappointingly the sauce to pasta ratio was way off, so ended up with dry spaghetti at the end. The service was great, but because the owner is so busy on her own, it doesn’t give you much chance to interact with her, which is often a highlight of smaller places like this. Maybe we went on a bad night? Maybe we ordered the wrong meals? Maybe our expectations were too high? I’ll let you decide.
I’m a vegetarian from the US. It has been pretty difficult to find healthy and vegan at the end of a difficult day. My favorite place to find amazing food and relax in a comfortable environment is at Queens. The owner is especially sweet and an amazing cook. I definitely recommend.
I love all of the food she made, everything was delicious. She made original cocktail for me it was very good!!! It was 2,300yen. I don’t understand why people says this store is expensive. I went other vegan restaurant in Nagoya and it’s famous store and was not delicious and food was small and expensive. Queen’s drink is also cheaper then other store.
So I went here on Saturday and was blown away from the food. I have never tasted any vegan food in nagoya that can beat it. not only that, but the owner and her husband are extremely great people. the best way to get a reservation is by its facebook messenger.
We had the hot pot which was so delicious! Super cute and cozy little restaurant. The owner and her husband were super fun. Would definitely recommend and come back to if we’re in Nagoya again!
