Xiaos' Hibachi And Sushi - Murfreesboro

I'm disappointed to report that while the food was good, the service left much to be desired. I don't often give negative reviews, as I understand that everyone can have an off day. However, when you take your three young children and your wife out for dinner, and it takes 40 minutes to receive the first dish on a Monday night in a restaurant that's far from full, it's hard to overlook. To make matters worse, they automatically included a tip on the bill, likely sensing our dissatisfaction. As a businessperson myself, I would have approached the situation differently, focusing on how to rectify the experience for the customer rather than assuming they should tip fully despite the lack of service. Unfortunately, I don’t plan to return.

This has to be my wife's favorite restaurant by far. She insists on going at least once a week. The owners are incredibly friendly and recognize us each time we visit. The food is simply delicious and addictive, which explains my wife's... preferences. Food: 5/5

The food was very delicious and fresh. Our server was very friendly and enjoyed her waiting on us. We were visited by the owners and their family while dining. They were very hospitable and enjoyed their company. Thank you for a great experienceFood: 5/5

Food is good but can’t say the same for to go customer service. We were sitting waiting and it was done and after the workers finished eating their bagels they let us know our order was ready. In reply to your reply I did come back on Saturday after calling ahead and was told 35 minutes. We arrived and it wasn’t ready advised that someone would bring it out only after waiting and no food was coming out to our car to find out that our order had been ready and sitting. Seems like need more mature people and people who care upfront handling these transactions

As soon as we walked in at 9:20pm after a long drive into the area, the server notifies us they close at 10pm. Ok. The sushi was just ok. Kind of warm. Tea was good. Service was friendly enough.Ventilation system terrible the hibachi smoke fills entire place. Wouldn 't return.(Editing to add per his comment, the owner seems to think 40 minutes before closing is closing time. TIL.
