Quay - Mullaghmore

We had Sunday lunch at this restaurant in early October. It was crowded and everyone appeared to be in good spirits. My partner ordered the catch of the day, which was wild Atlantic cod served with linguini and prawns. She enjoyed it very much. I opted for battered cod with chips and salad, which was also delicious. The service was attentive and the atmosphere was welcoming.

I had one of the best fish and chips ever at this restaurant. It was excellent! The pizza was also good, but the cheese was not mozzarella, it had a texture more like bechamel. The freshly made pizza base was good too. The dessert was also very good. It was good value for money, and most tables had an amazing view of the bay and harbor. However, I was disappointed with the service. It was a busy day due to unexpected nice weather bringing in a large number of tourists. There were not enough staff to provide satisfactory service, resulting in waiters being exhausted and snapping at customers. Despite this, I will give it another try next time I'm in the area, as the food was good and the disappointing service may have just been a one-time occurrence or a management error. The area is stunning, and on a sunny day, I would like to try sitting at the outdoor tables.

Nice place on the pier, the staff were very attentive and prompt but the food was really just average. The cod and chips were really the only dish we could recommend. The spaghetti was dull and curry as well. Soup was good.

Light lunch...soup and coffee hit the spot on a rainy day.
