*Update as of 8/8/23* This location has become increasingly disappointing. I recommend adding an extra 10 to 15 minutes to the estimated pickup time and have the staff confirm your order back to you. Today, the cashier seemed to order something completely different from what I selected for lunch. Additionally, she was dismissive towards the cooks after I pointed out her inaccurate time estimate. I don’t blame the cooks; I’ve seen how hard they work. She simply lacks a sense of timing. The Gilroy location is far better. I'm not sure what has changed here in the past two years since my last visit. The food is still decent, but it’s not as good as it once was. Keep in mind that if others are waiting, their supposed 10-minute wait can realistically turn into over 15 minutes.

The food is consistently excellent, but finding parking can be a bit difficult depending on the time of day you visit.

Years I’ve been returning at A Jay’s Cheese Steak with the same satisfaction as the first time. It is always good. Parking: Depends on the time of day. It is all worth it.

The chips and fish are fantastic—both are perfectly fried and crispy, with just the right amount of salt. However, the absence of homemade tartar sauce, vinegar, and coleslaw brought the score down. Other than that, the sandwiches are excellent. You can also choose to swap out the bread for different varieties.

Love AJ's! Great variety, love the Dodgers Suck and Thai red curry cheese steaks. Hard working staff! Good job on estimating pick up times. Limited seating outside tiny shop, to go is the way to go!
