Stumpy Gully Dining

I knew the company would be good as she went out with my daughter. the wine hill was picturesque on this sunny autumn day and we were very well supervised by friendly, professional staff. to no time we felt hastily what...just because every mouthful of our three courses deserved taste! wein suggestions were informatiw and before place. If good eating and wine is her ding, stumpy gully will not disappoint.

We had a great dining experience at this restaurant. The staff was excellent and quickly resolved a small issue we had with a meal. The encore chardonnay was fantastic. The menu was decent, but we would recommend skipping the mush on the appetizer menu. We would also suggest avoiding the fish special of the day on the main menu. However, we really enjoyed the dessert menu. Overall, we have no complaints and believe it is worth a visit.

We went to Stump Gully Winery restaurant with our grown-up family to celebrate our high season anniversary. We ordered a variety of courses starting with appetizers, then main dishes, and finishing with desserts and coffee. The meals were beautifully presented and delicious. There were options for our vegan guests, who were very happy and satisfied with their meals. We also enjoyed a wine tasting after lunch and purchased some excellent wines to take home. Thank you to Stump Gully Winery, we will definitely be returning soon.

After finding the Stumpy Gully Vineyard restaurant open on a Saturday, we decided to book a dinner. What a delicious experience! We sat at a table with a view of the vineyard and indulged in the most flavorful food. The flavors were so special that you could tell you had found something truly unique. This restaurant really shines at its best. On Saturdays, there is a minimum spend requirement per person, which can make for an expensive evening when you add wine, sides, and coffee (our bill was for both of us). This might not be somewhere you could dine every week, but for a special occasion when money is no object, this would be the perfect spot. We had a fantastic time and we will definitely be returning.

Despite eating out every second day for years prior to Covid, we'd never been to Stumpy Gully. Being creatures of habit, we'd fallen into the trap of generally sticking to our or so Peninsula favourites. However, with lockdown ended, we decided to broaden our...horizons and have been trying new spots as well (Tio Tapas in Mornington and South Beach Project at Mt Martha so far). On a very wet and windy Friday, we arrived at noon and were the only diners in this lovely room until almost pm. By the time we left at the place was quite busy and another couple were just arriving. After a warm welcome from Remy, we were seated at a very private corner table at the window overlooking the small dam and the extensive vineyard (Table We started with a rum and ginger ale for her and a gin and tonic for me. An amuse-bouche was a nice surprise and very tasty. Glasses of chardonnay accompanied her kingfish tartare and my prawn salad (both excellent). For mains, she chose the roast duck and I had the mushroom lasagne washed down with a bottle of merlot. The duck was particularly tender and I didn't want the lasagne to end. We finished off with cheese, two more glasses of merlot and coffee. The menu is so new that it hasn't been changed on the website yet. Service throughout from Remy was faultless. A return trip is now due.
