This place is s***house. Rude staff. **** food. Overpriced. How this place wins awards is beyond me.

Ray Jays has won the Best Fish & Chips in town award for a reason, because they deliver every time. Friday & Saturday evenings people BYO & stay to eat while listening to live music. It's a great atmosphere & especially on a hot summer night. The Best thing about Ray Jays is the fish & chips are fresh & you can really taste the difference.

We've had fish and chips from here whenever we holidayed on the Sunshine Coast. Now that we are locals, we get takeaway from RayJays regularly, usually taking it to Alex Headland to eat while watching the sunset. The food is always beautifully cooked, and always plentiful. I've always found the staff friendly and helpful. Sometimes the wait seems long when you are hungry, but this is a popular eatery, and it's always been worth the wait.

This is just down the road from where we recently moved and has signs up saying they won awards for best seafood on the Sunshine Coast in 2014 and 2015.The standards must have dropped a long way in the past couple of years.I have tried them 3 times now and won't be giving them any more chances. The fish has consistently been dry and overcooked and the crumb hard, even the prawns. The chips are disappointing, and at $53 last time for my son and I for lunch, RIDICULOUSLY expensive. So disappointing. I couldn't recommend this place

Wonderful fish and chips, so lucky to have them in my neighbourhood. There's even live music some nights plus outdoor seating for a lovely atmosphere. Be prepared for a wait in busy times as this place is popular!
