Xavier Artisan, Place d'Armes

Delicious croissants and tons of fresh brewed tea and coffee. A perfect place to start your day. Cute outdoor seating as well looking onto the Place d'Armes Square with street musicians and the glory of the Basilica Notre Dame all right there.

Xavier Artisan is located in the plaza next to the Notre Dame Basilica. They have a limited selection of tasty Artisan sandwiches and soups. They also have a nice selection of coffee, tea, pastries, and ice cream, making this an acceptable place for lunch or a snack. I had the chicken pesto sandwich, and my wife had the broccoli coconut milk soup, which she loved. The ice cream, I'm told, was also very good, although be aware chocolate temptation has almonds (my wife didn't realize this before ordering).

WOW! J'y suis allée pour dîner et j'ai a-d-o-r-é! Super bon service. C'était ma première fois et la serveuse a pris le temps de tout m'expliquer et me montrer mes choix. Tout est fait maison!! Le pain, les desserts, les brevages .... C'était excellent. C'est sûr que c'est un peu cher, mais il faut payer pour avoir de la qualité. Je vais y retourner c'est sûr!!!

Endroit sympa dans lequel je viens déguster leur petit jus de pamplemousse et leur gâteau au chocolat :-) Situé juste à coté de la Basilique Notre Dame, cet endroit où règne pour moi une atmosphère qui me donne toujours envie d'y passer quand je reviens sur Montréal.

In an industry where quality service is key to differentiate yourself and retain loyal clients, I'm not sure how it's possible to get away with yelling at customers, but that's what basically happened after I reported that one of the bathroom smelled of vomit.This employee (a french girl from France) clearly needs to get trained with decent client service.
