The Uncommon Market - MONTPELIER

I stopped for eggs today. I was in the middle of baking a cake and discovered that I was out (slip! The market was made of eggs, but the guy behind the counter friendly GAVE me 3 eggs from behind (what they use for their deli, I suppose. I was displaced by his generosity and kindness. I will definitely be back! What a great advantage for our neighborhood!

The folks are most friendly and the menu was quite impressive. very creative options, regular specials on rotation and light groceries. i very much enjoy their porch overlooking the river and downtown from a unique perspective. this is my lunch destination when traveling past Montpellier!

Delicious, fresh, hand crafted sandwiches! Probably the best sandwiches in Central Vermont. Plus, they are super nice and welcoming. The market has quality goods, but is not extensive. Go here for the sandwiches.

This is my go-to spot for the finest selection of craft beer in town. I highly recommend trying the Tom Collins sandwich while enjoying the view of the river from their deck.
