Wetherspoon - Mold

Like all Wetherspoon locations, The Golden Cape could really benefit from a thorough deep clean and some fresh decor while it’s closed. It doesn't seem to have changed much since it first opened.

I had a wonderful breakfast, particularly enjoying the sausages. The place was clean, and the staff were very friendly. Given the current situation, we had the freedom to choose our seating anywhere we liked.

I appreciate that the menu provides information about the calories for each dish. The Traditional English breakfast was decent—nothing extraordinary, but perfectly satisfactory for a chain restaurant.

Great food and friendly staff! Excellent beer at a fantastic price. We sat outside in the sun—who needs Spain?

I ordered food and drinks, specifically asking for a blackcurrant Fruit Shoot. However, when the drinks arrived, I received an apple Fruit Shoot instead. I went to the bar to ask if I could exchange it for the correct drink, only to be told they didn't have any blackcurrant available. It would have been courteous to inform me of this when the drinks were served. As for the food, it was extremely disappointing. The burger was burnt to a crisp, and the chips looked like they had been fried at least a dozen times; they were also stone cold.
