George's Snack Bar - MITCHELTON

We felt like simple fish and chips for dinner while on a road trip around Queenstown and George's was a terrific little find. It was great. Super tasty, super fast and good portions. The staff were friendly and there were heaps of things to choice from.

The service was friendly and the prices extremely reasonable. $2 bought a large portion of crispy delicious chips. They gave me a hamburger rather than the double cheeseburger I ordered, but it was still great. My companion had the calamari which was apparently great. I also had a delicious pineapple fritter. Everything cost just over $13 altogether. Will defo return.

Had fish, chips and potato scallop here. Chips were perfectly cooked. The homemade scallop was average and forgettable. This is the best place in the area for a grease hit; I've tried them all.

Crunchy hot chips, classic hamburgers with the lot (home made beef patty, lettuce, onion, tomato, beetroot, cheese, egg, pineapple & sauce) - you can't go wrong and cheap as chips!

I always get chips from here because the chips and gravy are amazing and the staff is always very friendly
