China City is a tasty chinese option in Mill Creek's Town Center. The dark lighting gives a good first impression. Imposing statues of the Buddha give watch over you. It feels like someone robbed a temple. We ordered the Shanghai Menu for 4 people and the Hong Kong Menu for 2 people. The wait staff were friendly even though we were a large party with kids. The shrimp, cashew chicken, and Mongolian Beef were our favorites. The Mongolian Beef comes standard with mild spice. I recommend getting it with 3 chilis. We liked both types of soup and the pot stickers were fresh and crispy. We also got General Ng's chicken, Almond chicken and sweet and sour chicken. These were fine. The portions were enough for our party of 8 including 3 children. We would go there again. Our friends who brought us, like it a lot and go often. Removed 1 star because the air conditioning was cold. Also the men's restroom looked like it wasn't regularly cleaned.

The service was commendable given the large number of customers present. However, the food was just average; some of the appetizers were only lukewarm rather than hot. The BBQ pork lacked flavor, and the highlight of the appetizers was the spring roll. The actual duck was also mediocre. As for the sauces, they had a consistency similar to gelatin.

I ordered some Chinese food from this restaurant in the mall food court to satisfy my cravings, but it turned out to be a disappointment. The sauces were excessively thick and sticky, which made the texture quite unpleasant. It felt like I was eating a combination of gelatin and meat. I had to wipe off the sauce just to manage it. The chicken was boiled and incredibly dry, which was true for both the sweet and sour chicken and the teriyaki chicken. I really can’t believe how bad it was. I wouldn't recommend this place. If you're in the mood for fast Chinese food, try Panda Express instead.
