Tsunami Restaurant Sushi Bar Union Heights

My son has Tree Nut Allergies and it is so refreshing to have owners that truly care. We also dine in and take out frequently and the service is always outstanding. Food is excellent quality. Dietary restrictions: They care about food allergies.

Food was good service was great but it was to noisy and freezing cold in there.

Our experience with the hostess staff has been terrible the last two times we’ve been to this location. We called ahead and inquired about the sushi bar. The hostess told me they had two open seats but couldn’t guarantee they would still be open. When we checked in, the hostess told us the wait would be 20 minutes at the longest. After waiting 10 minutes, the hostess walked over and said they wouldn’t be seating the sushi bar for another hour and 20 minutes. When we asked why she said it’s a rule her manager Micah just informed her of. We still weren’t sat by the quoted time. Not a great experience.

In the past two weeks I have eaten at both the South Jordan and Union Heights locations. Tsunami used to have great food, now it is mediocre at best. The sushi is good, but the quality of the fish is not as good as it used to be. The miso soup was chicken broth with no tofu or miso to be seen. The cucumber salad had never seen the vinegar it was supposed to have. The Korean Style Boneless Beef Ribs were just grilled beef without the flavorful sauce they used to have. We will not go back.

Elijah was awesome! Always an amazing experience! I love the teriyaki chicken, it is always perfect! Spicy teriyaki sauce is wonderful as well! The team are very professional, and what they do! Cannot recommend highly enough. #templemastery
