Bidrage med feedbackI was charged nearly $20 for a dinner plate that included two or three meats and two sides. I chose brisket and turkey, but I only received about five small slices of brisket and four small slices of turkey. While the flavor is just as good as it has always been, the prices have gone up while the portion sizes have shrunk. Overall, the food feels more like chain barbecue quality but at a premium barbecue price.
This is the second time we’ve dined at Spring Creek in Mansfield, TX, in the past two months, and both times we encountered issues with getting rolls. Each visit, we had to ask the person at the roll station for them. Tonight, the response we received from the woman at the roll station was quite rude. She told me she would bring the rolls to our table, and when she did, she only brought them to us and no other tables, all while laughing as she walked away. Later, as she was serving rolls to other tables, she glanced over at me and gave a sarcastic thumbs up. Really? That was extremely disrespectful! We also received a small portion of brisket, which we had to complain about to get the correct portion. The food was good, as always, but due to the issues we’ve experienced at the Mansfield location, we will be choosing to drive to a different location in the future.
Yummy food. I love to eat here when visiting Texas. I was disappointed that they now limit sides. Years back. I could pick and choose from any of the offerings. They seem to have changed to a turkey roast instead of the roasted, carved turkey I seem toremember a few years back. Still tasty however.
I’ve lowered my rating by one star due to a decline in value. Prices have increased everywhere, and Spring Creek is no exception. Previously, you could load your own vegetable side dishes onto your plate, but since COVID, the staff now serves the vegetable sides for you. While I don't mind them doing the serving, the portions are nowhere near what you could previously serve yourself. Keep in mind, these are vegetables, not meats, and yet they’ve raised prices to account for their increased costs. So why have they limited the portion sizes so drastically? Customers are definitely feeling the impact of the higher prices. You would think that dishes like mac and cheese or green beans would attract loyal customers. On a positive note, the food is still great as always, and you can still enjoy as many fresh baked dinner rolls as you like!
Spring Creek BBQ has been our go to BBQ place in the area for many many years. The food is consistently good (but the ribs are messy! I like the option of getting different brisket cuts lean, regular and burnt ends. The rolls are exceptional but, unfortunately, I never have enough room to eat as many as I would like! Spring Creek has a rewards program that frequentlyoffers BOGO which makes dining there even more affordable.
