Mod Pizza - Midlothian

The manager, Amari, is often rude, even when the restaurant isn't busy. Her difficult demeanor makes it challenging to enjoy the dining experience. The food is great, but you shouldn't expect it to be prepared with care when she's around. I usually try to overlook her behavior during my visits, as I don't take it personally, but today was the breaking point. Our pizza wasn’t ready for nearly an hour, and her response to the situation was unacceptable. She's the only staff member I've had issues with. It raises questions about how she became the manager; I always thought she was just an ordinary young employee. It’s hard to believe she runs this place, especially since they were an hour behind on a cheese pizza order. She doesn’t seem equipped to handle the pressures of the kitchen. To summarize, my pizza was never even started after I ordered at 6:52 PM. I arrived at 7:25 PM and waited an additional 10-15 minutes, only to discover that it hadn’t even been put into production.

The food is outstanding, but the service is the worst I’ve ever encountered. This was our third visit, and I can't believe the staff continues to deteriorate. At one point, our server mistakenly threw away our order and couldn’t remember what we had requested. When we pointed out that our pizza was wrong, he changed his tune and claimed he would have gotten it right if he had our ticket. Moreover, the girl preparing the pizzas shouted insults so loudly that it frightened everyone in the restaurant, especially my children. We ultimately decided to leave because our son was in tears from the fear. As I mentioned, the pizza was fantastic; however, the service was truly terrible.

The restaurant offers plenty of booth seating and high chairs for kids. There's also plenty of parking available.

I absolutely adore the pizza at this place! The crust is AMAZING—it’s thin, though you can opt for a thicker crust for an additional fee. Normally, I prefer thick crust, but I would go for this thin version every time. The pizzas are more like personal sizes, so keep that in mind. You mainly pay for the crust, and any toppings you want are included at no extra charge. I really appreciate not having to pay a fortune for just a few additional pepperonis like at other restaurants. The staff is friendly and efficient, and you can expect to spend about $10 per person.
