Bidrage med feedbackMy wife and I go to Sliders several times a week. We love the food and the staff is so friendly and competent. We decided to take our daughter and her fiance on Tuesday evening. We were in absolute shock witnessing what was happening there. We were never greeted by anyone. We finally sat ourselves and couldn 't help but notice how busy and chaotic it was. We flagged down a server. She was so sweet but obviously overwhelmed. Apparently there was a fund raiser on Tuesday. It took two hours to get a wrap, a salad and several sides. Whoever is the manger or owner should be ashamed of themselves. There were two servers, one bartender and two cooks on the premises who had to take care of a full house. It was not the staff 's fault. What kind of management puts their staff through this? We received our food in drips and drabs. FInally, we just got our meals to go. We would 've spent three times our $150.00 bill if we were able to even get a cocktail. WOW! This is too bad, because Sliders is our go to place. I was in the restaurant business for years and this was an embarrassment. I hope the incredible wait staff continue their employment when they are expected to do an impossible job due to poor management.
Wings are juicy and delicious! The Italian wedding soup is going through a divorce or something, I didn 't get one meatball in mine (or is it supposed to be sausage? I was expecting some meat in there, but alas there was none. The bartender was great and attentive. She noticed I didn 't eat the soup and took it off my tab (I would 've been happy to take it home and doctor it up, introduce the newly divorced to some new spices in life without me asking. I thought that was nice. I had some work to do and the wifi worked great, and the atmosphere was calm enough that I got a lot done! I found my new coffee shop!
We honestly enjoy the food, but have had issues at the Middletown location the last few times that we ordered. After 6 or so months of not ordering, we decided to give them another shot for takeout today. Upon paying for my order, one of the three items was missing (which was corrected after I pointed it out). Additionally, I asked if the small boneless wing order was correct because it only had two pieces of chicken. At first my question was ignored. After asking again, I was told that it was correct that it only had two pieces. This is pretty sorry for an item that cost $8.99. I weighed the entire container on a kitchen scale and it weighed a whopping 6.2 oz. Luckily, there are other wing choices in our area!
Night started good until the food came out. The nachos came out a little more well done then we would have expected, when our original server came to check the food we expressed our concerns but didn’t send it back as not to be wasteful. The sever never returned, for instance the table behind us had the same server and received care. We noticed more than twice she gone to other tables and walked past us before we had to flag down another sever named Marisa who was the most helpful worker I’ve encountered in all my times going to sliders. She took over our table and went above and beyond to give good service the first server should have. She told us it was her first week bartending there, she was the only one greeting customers and giving good service all while making drinks behind the bar for a bar full of guests. She also I formed us that the other server didn’t want to wait on our table because we expressed our concerns about the food. If not for Marisa this would have been a waste of a trip.
My husband and I go to Sliders three nights a week. We often go with our daughter and son in law. They love the vegan options. i love the salads. The wait staff and bartenders are friendly and competent. Lately; however, the service and ticket time for food has been awful. There doesn’t seem to be clear management present. Tonight we gave them one more chance and invited four friends. It was such an embarrassment, as we usually recommend Sliders to our friends. My husband ordered a chicken ceasar with a white wrap and our friend ordered the exact same meal, only with wheat wrap. The white wrap was served and the wheat one took fifteen minutes longer?? The third couple never even received their food. When asked where their meal was it had been 45 minutes for a salad and 6 wings). The server said it would take 20 more minutes! So, almost an hour and a half for simple bar food? UNACCEPTABLE!! They ended up canceling their order. We were there for a celebration and would have loved to have several rounds of cocktails. No one ever came to the table to ask if we wanted another round. Maybe Bar Rescue needs to visit Sliders! John Tafford would be truly mortified at the horrific mismanagement. It’s so sad because the wait staff try their very best and are probably sick of apologizing to customers for clear inept management. What is happening at Sliders? You are sitting on a gold mine. Get it together!
