Ruyi - Melbourne

We arrived at 10:00 PM on a Friday right after a comedy show so we wanted some quick dumplings and duck cones before going home.

I had a very pleasant evening dining at Ruyi Modern Chinese.

Excellent tofu , amazing duck soup and best Peking duck rolls , wagyo beef incredible and the prawns delicious ! Nice wine selection and lovely ambient setting

Have visited Ruyi a few times. The food is top-notch. Really quite excellent. Always tasty and well-presented. The staff are very friendly and professional. Much quieter than other restaurants in the area, which improves the dining experience in my opinion. Nice wine choices too. Definitely one of my staple restaurants in Melbourne!

Had a wonderful night with my friend. The ambiance and just feel of the place is relaxing and soothing without being overly posh, I was comfortable and felt great to be there. Service was absolutely perfect. We had a show to go to and needed some things quickly and they delivered. Could have spent all night going through the small sharing plates but had to see a show around the corner ...so perfect location for that too. It isn't exactly cheap, particularly the wine but not expensive. Food was fantastic and fun, the small sharing plates are indeed small but makes it more fun to just order about 5 for two of us plus a main to share and I was completely full. Couldn't recommend enough for the nice warm and welcoming but also smooth vibe, impeccable service and really great food (that were also presented with such detail).
