Cafe Duomo - Melbourne

I stopped in for a bite of brunch. Its a busy, delightfully eclectic, small, tight corner cafe, serving lovely, tasty food and coffee. I had the Baked Eggs, served with crusty bread toasted, great flavours, very satisfying for brunch. I finished the afternoon with a second long black, and a home made short cake biscuit with a glass of chilled moscadella dessert wine, a fantastic way to complete my brunch. If you've the time and want to experience good food in an eclectic atmosphere then head here, I highly recommend it.

So rude! I don't know what's worse, the bad watered down coffee or the extremely rude service by the owner. My fiancé and friend went for coffee and ordered a take away cup. We sat down to wait as the coffee was being poured and had the intention to leave once we got our coffee. The owner brought out the coffee and spoke to us extremely rudely and said loudly, "if your ordering take out then don't sit down" and it was followed by 2 condescending thumbs up as he walked away and shook his head. Like what?! If there is a price difference between take away and sit down, just simply and politely say that. And we sat down as we were waiting for the coffee; we did not have any intention to stay and sit. Needless to say, as tourists, it soured our mood and was disappointing to be spoken to that way. His response was so disproportionate. Further, the coffee was simply not good. Very watered down with a bad taste. It was all sad really. Just talk to people with respect and not negatively.

We decided to eat a quick breakfast here. The lady I presume is the owner should retire.She has a very poor attitude & maybe should try writing her orders down& then she may remember what was actually ordered & get them right. I really don't appreciate her standing arguing with me as to what I ordered. So many other options in the area rather than going there to be spoken to like that. Clearly I would not return.

We stopped in here for an early lunch. The archade was a lovely break from the sun. Cool drinks, hearty salads, interesting cafe. Service a little scatty, but lovely waitress.

Popped in here for quick lunch as a centre point for colleagues running from across the cbd- great space. Makes you feel like you're far away, and you may be at risk of forgetting you're in the middle of the cbd in the middle of a lunch break! Service seemed a bit scattered but eventually all food and drinks arrived and all was good.Intend to revisit- need to explore the interesting wine list...
