Green Lantern - McFarland

It was very good. The burger I had was one of the best burgers I have ever had. You can see the lake from the dinning room. The bar looked very nice. The seasoned fries were the best. Service was very fast and very polite. It was one of the best places I have been.

I ordered fish fries and onion rings for takeout. The onion rings were $8...and the order had six, which ended up being $1.50 an onion ring. The fish was good, but the fries were very underdone and soggy. To top it off, one of the rolls I received had green mold on it. I'm sure this was likely just a one-off bad experience as this place seems to have lots of good reviews, but I don't think I'll try this place again.

We have visited this restaurant for breakfast numerous times, and we always leave feeling satisfied. The food is absolutely delicious, the staff is very friendly, and the seating provides a wonderful view of Lake Waubesa. The mimosas and Bloody Marys are fantastic. This place is our favorite spot for breakfast!

Initially, the server came across as quite sassy and a bit pushy. When I requested a drink list, she mentioned she’d get it for me, but two minutes later, she asked what I wanted to drink. I reminded her that I was interested in seeing my options. She then started to name a few beers on tap that she could recall, prompting me to just choose a random, generic beer to move things along. It felt a bit off, and she maintained a slight attitude throughout the interaction. However, the food was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend the Ruben sandwich, and my fiancé loved her wrap. The fries were perfect, too! The atmosphere of the restaurant is fantastic and has a wonderfully nostalgic vibe. The view of the lake and the old-fashioned decor create a lovely setting. It was clear that many patrons were locals, which is a great sign for any restaurant. I’m giving this place 4 stars overall. I believe the waitress is likely a nice person and probably had a lot on her plate, considering how busy the restaurant was. Definitely give this spot a try!
