Stack House - Mars Hill

I absolutely adore dining at this restaurant! My family and I have visited multiple times over the past few years, and it never fails to be a highlight of our trip whenever we are in the area. It is disappointing to hear that they are currently facing challenges with their liquor license, as they previously offered a fantastic variety of craft beers on tap. Despite this setback, the food is so exceptional that the absence of beer did not bother me at all. I ordered the goat cheese salad with a veggie burger patty, while my husband opted for the pulled pork sandwich. Both dishes were incredibly fresh and flavorful. The service we received was outstanding, and we are already looking forward to our next visit.

Looking for delicious brisket and juicy burgers, we decided to visit this charming restaurant on Main Street. We were fortunate to find a parking spot right in front and received a warm welcome from the hostess. Currently, they do not serve alcohol, and it is uncertain when this may change. We had already planned our meal before arriving and we were not disappointed. The brisket was fantastic, and I enjoyed the sliders with a side salad. The atmosphere inside was cozy and the restaurant was bustling during dinner time. We will definitely be returning in the future!

My son played a baseball game at Mars Hill University, so we stopped by here after. The servers were extremely nice. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Portions were huge and we could've shared a lot of dishes. No alcohol is served here--not an issue, but some diners might want to know. We would definitely return here. Delicious food at a great price.

We will give it a second shot, I always give places another shot when I don't like my experience the first time because it could just be an off day. They were slightly busy when we went Food: I got the wings, the dry seasoned ones. The seasoning was lacking flavor...and the wings were dry tasted old...slightly sour taste. I didn't finish them because of this. My husbands dish was also dry and lacking flavor Service: clearly they are understaffed and the staff they had the day I went said they were new. Things were a little slow but understandable given those two things. Ambiance: the restaurant itself felt a little stuffy, not crispy and clean. There was also some gentleman sleeping on the couch who was lightly snoring, so that was an interesting experience that didn't quite add to the dinner

The food is fantastic with high-quality ingredients and excellent service. In my opinion, this restaurant serves the best hamburgers in town, possibly even in all of North Carolina.
