Mosqueta - Malargüe

We had very good lunch outdoors surrounded by excellent landscape. The service is very slow but the dishes were good. The malfatti, Spaghetti, burger, pork, chicken and sala we had were all good but nothing different from other nice places, the best is where you are eating.

We ate lunch there and had the beef rib special that was fabulous, tasty and tender. I had the trout with mustard - caper sauce, which was delicate fresh and very good. Service was friendly but slow, which was fine, we were in no hurry. We ordered both salads which were big, simple, fresh and flavorful. Deserts were Mosqueta flan and baked ricotta pie, both very, very good. Great mountain style food in a nice outdoor setting. Small menu, but all the basics covered. I guess when the weather is not so beautiful you eat indoors. Great placemats with heart felt messages of life and wisdom...take one home..keepsake!

We were looking somewhere to eat. Most restaurants in the area have closed for the season or were not open for lunch. We were thrilled when we saw the inviting small terrace and an open door! Although the beautiful server did not speak English, she brought us her phone with a translator app and allowed us to read the menu. We ordered mixed empanadas and green salads with apple cheese. Both were delicious and very fresh! The beef Empanadas was so good that we had to order more. We also had wine and a beer. Both were perfection on a hot day. We would highly recommend Mosqueta!
