Sienna's - Malahide

Excellent, we visited again last weekend, got a window seat on what was a beautiful evening, fritters and sourdough crossing for starters, followed by fish grill and linguini and a side portion of aubergine parmigiana and finished off with lovely affogato desert.

Been here a couple of times. Great views, lovely food and a nice ambient spot.

Sienna’s location offers a lovely view of the Malahide marina. The menu has some Italian traits clearly revised in light of the Irish taste. We had a couple of different mains and starters. Overall, the quality of the food items was good and ingredients appeared fresh and genuine. Portions were generous and service prompt and friendly. The prawns were great with a nice texture, taste and sauce to dip them in. The focaccia was good however we were of the impression it had been warmed in the microwave just before being served. Both agnolotti and tagliatelle were visibly handmade, properly cooked and tasty. The ragu was very “creamy”, with a lovely taste of ribs and perfect to go with handmade pasta. Only note, it was a bit too spicy, I did not expect that. The chicken Milanese was crunchy, and overall a nice mix of tastes with the ham shavings and rocket pesto. Being picky, I’d have added a bit of salt.

Lovely food, great staff (under pressure but coped very well! Will return again soon!
