All Kaina Grindz - Makawao

Went to this food truck about a week ago. Was pretty glad I did. Stopped in a busy Sunday afternoon. A lot of people around. I saw what I wanted and of course it's hamburger steak. My go to everywhere. Put in my order with the friendly gal working the window. Waited about 10-15 minutes no problem. Opened up the plate lunch it was a huge party with a bed of rice and brown gravy. I wish there was more gravy. It was cooked pretty good too. Maybe I'll ask for extra gravy hehe. Friendly service. Will be back maybe too try a burger!! Come and support local. There located in the kulamalu food truck pod.

Tried the pork belly cheeseburger special recently and it was excellent. Definitely layers to the flavors but not in an overwhelming way. Can't wait to try other items on the menu.

Stopped by after exploring Haleakala. I got the garlic shrimp plate and it was delicious. Very generous portions and the shrimp were nice and plump. Garlic sauce was so good. Husband had the loco moco and it's one of the best plates of food we've had on the island. The patty was very well seasoned and the gravy was awesome. Got a teri beef plate for the kids and they were kind enough to split them into two smaller portions. The mac salad was nice and light. It was nicely coated with mayo without being too rich. If we stayed closer I would seriously be here every day.

A very disappointing meal. I ordered the kimchi fried rice with shrimp and egg. The rice did not appear to be fried.. I saw them scooping it out of a big rice pot. Also there was no kimchi, or anything else in the kimchi fried rice. It was greasy and mushy. My stomach hurts and there is a gross film on my throat after eating that garbage. I should have given it back and got a refund.

Had the pork belly loco , extra egg and extra gravy . What a beautiful thing . Belongs in the loco moco hall of fame . Might go back again tomorrow for another one . The wahines were super nice , lots of aloha and everyone was masked.
